Shut off the water supply valve for the outdoor spigots INSIDE your unit (the valve is usually located in the basement near your utilities). Then turn on/open the outdoor spigots and leave them open all winter. The water will drain from the pipes and prevent freezing/bursting.

 

If water continues to drip from an outdoor spigot after turning off the inside valve, you may need to replace the interior shut off valve. (This is an owner responsibility.)
